This becomes a bit of a quandary for SJW types, who often get into very hypocritical positions wrt Islam, which is even more homophobic/homocidal than Christianity. I think it might be a bad thing in the context of religion, either if one believes that we should respect other’s religious beliefs, or if the religion is so backward that outing can be dangerous, as is the case with Islam.
